IP Widget is a simple and efficient widget designed to display your mobile carrier name and IP address, or your wireless LAN SSID and wireless LAN IP address, directly on your home screen.

Features:

- Local IP Address: Displays the local IP address of your device across various connections (mobile, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, Ethernet).
- External IP Address: Optionally show your external IP address.
- Reverse Hostname: Optionally display the reverse hostname.
- WiFi Speed: Monitor your current WiFi speed.
- WiFi Channel and Frequency: View detailed WiFi channel and frequency information.
- Mobile Connection Type: Identify the type of your mobile connection (GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSPA, 4G, etc.).
- Notification Area Information: Optionally display connection details in the notification area.
- Configurable actions: Set actions for tapping the widget or notification (open WiFi settings, toggle WiFi [on/off], open IP Widget settings, manually refresh widget content).

FAQ
- Why are Channel & Frequency not shown?
Since Android 6, location permission is required to scan for nearby WiFi networks. This is the only method to obtain the current channel and frequency. (See Google Issue Tracker discussion: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=185370)
Your location will not be detected or transmitted at any time.

List of Permissions:

FULL INTERNET ACCESS
- Required to obtain the external IP address. If disabled, no data connection will be established by the widget.

READ PHONE STATUS AND IDENTITY
- Used to detect the type of mobile connection (GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, etc.).

CHANGE WI-FI STATUS
- Enables WiFi toggle functionality.

VIEW WI-FI STATUS
- Used to retrieve the SSID.

VIEW NETWORK STATUS
- Used to retrieve the local IP address.

MODIFY/DELETE USB STORAGE CONTENTS OR MODIFY/DELETE SD CARD CONTENTS
- Required for writing ipwidget.log to the SD Card (if logging is enabled).

CONTROL VIBRATION
- Enables vibration for notifications.

RUN AT STARTUP
- Used to show notifications after boot when notifications without the widget are activated.
