1. **Select a Trigger:**

The trigger is the event that initiates the macro. MacroDroid offers over 80 triggers, including location-based triggers (gps, cell towers), device status triggers (battery level, app starting/closing), sensor triggers (shaking, light levels), and connectivity triggers (Bluetooth, WiFi, Notifications). You can also create a shortcut on your home screen or use the customizable MacroDroid sidebar.

2. **Select the actions to Automate:**

MacroDroid can perform over 100 different actions that you typically do manually. Connect to Bluetooth or WiFi devices, adjust volume levels, speak text (incoming notifications or the current time), start timers, dim your screen, run Tasker plugins, and much more.

3. **Optionally: Configure Constraints:**

Constraints allow you to specify when a macro should run. For example, if you live near your workplace but only want to connect to your company's WiFi during work hours, you can use a constraint to select specific times or days for the macro to be invoked. MacroDroid offers over 50 constraint types.
