綜合分析

This app presents Jane Austen's 'Emma' in a digital format, incorporating interactive elements. While remaining true to the original text, it offers a fresh perspective for modern audiences. Features likely include annotations, character profiles, and potentially quizzes to test comprehension. The user experience should be intuitive, making it easy to navigate the story and engage with the additional content. However, the success hinges on the app's stability and how well the interactive features are integrated without detracting from Austen's prose.

  • Interactive features enhance reading experience
  • Accessible and engaging for new readers

改善空間

  • Potential for bugs or glitches in the app
  • May not appeal to purists who prefer traditional reading

描述 Emma

Site Editorial Commentary:A novel about youthful hubris and the perils of misconstrued romance

Jane Austen, Emma

Virtual Entertainment, 2015
Series: World classic books

Twenty-four watercolor illustrations by Charles Edmund

Emma, by Jane Austen, is a novel about youthful hubris and the perils of misconstrued romance. The novel was first published in December 1815. As in her other novels, Austen explores the concerns and difficulties of genteel women living in Georgian-Regency England; she also creates a lively comedy of manners among her characters.

Before she began the novel, Austen wrote, "I am going to take a heroine whom no one but myself will much like." In the very first sentence she introduces the title character as "Emma Woodhouse, handsome, clever, and rich." Emma, however, is also rather spoiled, headstrong, and self-satisfied; she greatly overestimates her own matchmaking abilities; she is blind to the dangers of meddling in other people's lives; and her imagination and perceptions often lead her astray.
