This application automatically connects your device to SoftBank Wi-Fi Spots. note that depending on your data plan, a separate subscription to the SoftBank Wi-Fi Spot service may be required.
[Important Notes]
- This app requires permission to access "Phone calls and management" and "This device's location". However, the app does not initiate calls or specifically identify your location.
- For Android 10 and above, when in a SoftBank Wi-Fi Spot area, select "Yes (Allow)" in the Android system notification "Connect to Wi-Fi network?".
- For Android 11 and above, go to "Settings app" > [Location] > [App permissions] > [Wi-Fiスポット設定] and set the permission to [Allow all the time].
- If automatic connection fails, tap the app icon. You cannot connect by selecting the Wi-Fi access point from the Settings app.
- When connected to the internet via Wi-Fi, the Web Safety Service will not be applied.
[App Notifications]
- When using 0000softbank with this app, Wi-Fi is detected in the background and user authentication is performed. Therefore, if you turn ON the 0000softbank setting, a notification indicating that the application is running will be displayed continuously.
- For devices supporting 5GHz Wi-Fi, reduce app notifications by turning ON only "SoftBank Wi-Fi Spot (High Security)" in the app's Wi-Fi spot settings.
- For other Wi-Fi spots besides "SoftBank Wi-Fi Spot (High Security)", reduce app notifications by turning OFF the settings after use.
[Other Information]
- SoftBank Wi-Fi Spots are not available on X06HT devices.
