Unlike other solitaire games with roots tracing back to the 18th century, Tri-Peaks Solitaire (also known as TriPeaks, Three Peaks, Tri Towers, or Triple Peaks) is a relatively modern invention, created in 1989 by Robert Hogue. As with any successful game, countless variations have emerged across numerous platforms. So, why should you choose our version?We've strived to capture the original game's enjoyment with a diverse range of card layouts, all within a compact download.
The game begins with a unique card arrangement and one face-up card. The remaining cards form a face-down stock. Your objective is to transfer all cards from the tableau to the open card pile.
- You can move any exposed card from the three peaks to the open card if its rank is one higher or lower, irrespective of suit. For example, a 3 or 5 can be placed on a 4. Kings can be placed on Aces, and vice versa.
- If no moves are available, you can Draw a card from the face-down stock.
- Each card moved from the tableau to the open card pile earns points. The initial card earns 1 point, with subsequent cards increasing the streak by 1 point each. However, drawing a card from the stock resets the streak, returning the point value to 1. Earn bonus points for remaining face-down cards or for completing the game quickly.
