Site Editorial Commentary：Enables the ANT Radio Service to communicate with ANT USB sticks via USB Host

The ANT USB Service empowers your Android device with ANT wireless communication capabilities via a supported* ANT USB stick connected through USB OTG, working in conjunction with the ANT radio Service. This enables connectivity to a vast ecosystem of ANT+ devices, including popular sport, fitness, and personal health sensors such as heart rate straps, running foot pods, cycling power meters, weight scales, and blood pressure monitors.

*Known Limitations:
- Not compatible with "USB1" ANT sticks. USB1 uses a different USB conTroller incompatible with our newer versions.
- Connecting ANT USB sticks requires your phone to support USB Host. If the Play Store allows installation of this ANT USB Service, your phone likely supports USB Host. - Some devices (e.g., Motorola XOOM, Gateway TP-A60/Acer Iconia A500) may suspend USB when the screen turns off, disrupting ANT connections. This is a hardware limitation requiring individual app workarounds.
- Applications using very old versions of our interfaces may only work with built-in ANT support and not support ANT devices attached via this USB Service. In this case, encourage the developers of that application to update their app to use a more recent version. If your application isn't detecting the USB stick, test if one of our sample apps can detect it (e.g., install and test the ANT+ Plugins and the ANT+ Plugin Sampler). If you can connect to the stick with some apps but not others, the problematic apps likely use very old legacy interfaces.
