Other apps on Google Play access the Rejsekort A/S website, which is not only unreliable but also often inaccurate, as it typically takes 15-20 minutes for Rejsekort A/S's servers to update with your travel activity – and in buses, it usually takes a whole day!

This app, however, uses NFC technology to read the card via a small antenna, just like the equipment used by train personnel for ticketing. You only need a smartphone with NFC that supports Mifare smartcards. Unfortunately, this excludes certain popular models, which are therefore blocked in Google Play. If you cannot see Rejsekortscanner, it is likely because the app is not compatible with your specific model.
