• Network connections are solely used to retrieve your external IP/Hostname via secure servers (http://aschillings.co.uk/myscripts/getip.php and http://aschillings.co.uk/myscripts/gethostname.php). No other data is transmitted, ensuring your privacy.

• To identify the vendor associated with a MAC address, download 'MAC (OUI) Database' (another application by the developer) to obtain a copy of the OUI database.

• Remote hostname resolution (added in v0.5.2) displays your public hostname as resolved by the server. Discrepancies compared to your external hostname may indicate record propagation delays or DNS server inaccuracies.

• 'Ext. Hostname (L)' represents the hostname your device resolves for your external IP (local resolution).

• 'Ext. Hostname (R)' represents the hostname the server resolves for your external IP (remote resolution).

• 'Field Test' is a hidden application pre-installed on some HTC devices. The menu item will only appear if 'Field Test' is present on your phone.

Neighboring cell information may not be displayed on Samsung devices due to limitations in Samsung's Android implementation.
