Android 3.1 introduced USB host mode, enabling users to connect USB devices to their Android tablets, similar to a desktop PC, expanding functionality if the tablet has the necessary drivers.

This application provides detailed information about almost all connected USB devices. The 'almost' refers to cases where a device might not be fully recognized due to driver or compatibility issues.

Key information provided includes:
• Device Class
• USB Device Path
• Vendor ID (VID) and Product ID (PID)
• List of all interfaces and their endpoints.

By downloading the optional databases, the application can provide additional details such as the device vendor (not always the brand), the vendor's logo, and the product name.

The application uses two methods for information gathering:

1. Android Mode: Uses the native Android USB API for detailed interface and endpoint information.
2. Linux Mode: Parses /sys/bus/usb/devices/ for device-specific information like serial number and identification details.

Each mode provides slightly different but complementary information. Android mode excels at endpoint and interface details, while Linux mode offers more insights into the device itself.

Future versions will include Device Subclass resolution.

This application was developed as a learning exercise to explore fragments and the new USB host API. It is hoped that it will be useful to others.
