Established in 2010, Elix has become a leading French to French Sign Language dictionary, dedicated to creating a more accessible society for deaf individuals. It empowers deaf individuals by providing access to information and promoting communication equity.
Driven by Signes de sens and its partners, Elix aims to:
- Enable deaf signers to access reading in various formats, including a mobile application, website (dico.elix-lsf.fr), and browser extension.
- Serve as a bridge between deaf and hearing individuals, fostering reconciliation with reading and accessible communication methods, expanding LSF practice, and facilitating deaf inclusion.
- Empower society to embrace LSF as an alternative to oral communication within a universal design framework.
