Canasta is typically played with two standard 52-card decks plus four jokers, totaling 108 cards. Players are dealt a hand of cards, with a stock pile (face-down) and a discard pile (face-up) in the center. The objective is to meld cards of the same rank, forming sets of three or more cards. A meld of seven cards is called a Canasta, which can be 'natural' (all cards of the same rank) or 'mixed' (including wild cards).
The game ends when a player 'goes out' by melding all their cards. To go out, your partnership must have melded at least one Canasta.
