This Wear OS app brings the strategic depth of Pits directly to your wrist, offering a simple yet engaging gameplay experience that rewards skillful card play.The primary objective in Pits is to be the first player to strategically discard all of your cards. The game utilizes a standard 52-card deck, supplemented by two Jokers, adding an extra layer of complexity and opportunity.
Card ranks ascend from 3 to 2, with the Jokers (Black and Red) holding the highest value, followed by the 2. Players can strategically combine cards in various ways, including single cards, pairs, three-of-a-kind, four-of-a-kind, and sequences. Sequences must contain at least three cards and can include double, triple, or quadruple sequences.
Players must attempt to counter the combinations played by others with the same type of combination of a higher rank. If a player cannot play a higher-ranking combination, they must "Pass" (double-tap your score). When all players pass, the current set of cards is cleared, and the player who last put down a combination starts the next round.
Players have the option to "Pass" even when they have playable cards, but doing so will force them to continue passing until the current cards are cleared. Combinations and sequences are compared based on their highest card, with cards of the same rank or sequences needing to have the same number of cards.
"2" cards can substitute for any card in same-rank combinations and double, triple, and quadruple sequences. Jokers offer similar substitution capabilities. In cases where combinations or sequences are equal, those without "2" cards or Jokers (though used as substitutes) are considered stronger. Furthermore, a single sequence of the same suit is stronger than a sequence with multiple suits.
