Developed over years of research in artificial intelligence and computer vision, it utilizes a unique algorithm to identify mountain peaks in real-time with exceptional precision. At its core is a software component that compares the live camera view from your mobile phone or tablet with a virtual panorama generated from a digital 3D landscape model of the Earth. By intelligently matching the real-time view with the virtual panorama, PeakLens automatically compensates for inaccuracies from the compass and GPS sensors, ensuring the most accurate peak positioning possible.
