modern diesel engines are sensitive, and issues like faulty injectors, cylinder compression problems, blow-by circuit malfunctions, and worn engine seals can negatively impact your DPF. DPF Monitor helps you identify potential problems early by monitoring the DPF status.

Monitoring your DPF status provides a comprehensive overview of your car's condition and performance. It's an invaluable tool when purchasing a used car, allowing you to instantly assess the engine's health and verify mileage claims.

To use DPF Monitor, you'll need an ELM327 Bluetooth or WiFi diagnostic interface to connect to your car's OBD connector.

For accurate DPF data, the app needs to connect to the engine via the CAN bus. Ensure that your interface supports the ISO 14230-4 KPW protocol (fast init, 10.4Kbaud). We recommend Vgate iCar, OBDLink, and Konnwei Bluetooth/WiFi interfaces for optimal performance.

Available readings include:

- Current DPF status and clog level
- Current DPF temperature
- Current engine temperature
- Current differential pressure - a secondary indicator of DPF clogging
- Regeneration progress

- Distance since the last DPF regeneration
- Average distance between the last 5 regenerations (stored in the ECU)
- Average duration of the last 5 regenerations (stored in the ECU)
- Average temperature of the last 5 regenerations (stored in the ECU)
- Instances of regenerations interrupted by turning the key OFF (available on some Vehicles)

- Mileage at the last oil change
- Distance since the last oil change
- Engine oil degradation level
