Chess Pieces Movements:

- The pawn moves one square forward or two squares on its first move. It captures diagonally one square forward.
- The king can move one square in any direction (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally).
- The queen has unrestricted movement in all directions.
- The rook moves any number of squares horizontally or vertically.
- The knight moves in an "L" shape: two squares in one direction (horizontally or vertically) and then one square perpendicularly.
- The bishop moves any number of squares diagonally.

Important Game Situations:

- Checkmate: An attack on the king from which there is no escape, resulting in a loss for the player.
