With a 6-split screen optimized for smartphones and tablets, you can easily check and compare radar images of precipitation, rain clouds, and lightning around you, as well as meteorological satellite images and daily weather forecasts.

Daily weather checks are easy! The information displayed immediately upon startup can be customized!

The "Convenient Weather Around You" app allows you to quickly and easily check and understand various weather information around your current location using the split-screen display made possible by the large screen of your smartphone!

Compatible with Android OS Ver. 5 and later.





Convenient Weather Around You is a viewer (browser) app for the Japan Meteorological Agency website, various electric power company websites, the XRAIN site, and the Tokyo Amesh site, with the aim of easily and conveniently checking the Meteorological Agency's disaster prevention information, weather forecasts, weekly weather forecasts, future rain, current snow, radar nowcasts, meteorological satellite images, AMEDAS (temperature, wind direction and speed, precipitation, sunshine duration, snow depth, humidity), weather warnings and advisories, typhoon information, lightning information from various electric power company sites, Live Lightning site (blitzortung.org), X-band MP radar rainfall information from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and Tokyo Amesh without transitioning between screens.

Easily check the amount of rain, rain clouds, lightning, etc. around you with radar images before going out!

Easily check tomorrow's weather and the weekly weather forecast!

Use it to help you in your daily life.

*Lightning information from electric power companies is only available in the Tohoku, Chubu, Kinki, Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu regions, and is not displayed in the Kanto, Hokkaido, and Okinawa regions.

*Some sites may not be displayed correctly in the 6-split display of WebView (due to server-side specifications). Please display an alternative site.

The initial startup screen is set up to quickly show radar images focusing on where rain clouds are located and whether lightning is likely to occur.

This information configuration is especially useful for sudden torrential rain, evening showers, heavy rain, thunderstorms, and lightning strikes in the summer.

You can quickly understand the weather situation at a glance when you start the app.

We believe that the information you want to see quickly varies from person to person, so you can customize the display at startup by selecting the bottom button and menu to create a more convenient setting that suits you.

--- App Features ---

- Acquires your current location, and the center of each weather information/radar screen is near your current location, making it easier to understand the weather conditions around you.

- Even if you do not acquire your current location, a default region is set, and you can quickly check the weather information for that region.

- The simultaneous display of rain, lightning, tornadoes, satellite images, etc. on a 6-split or 4-split screen makes it easier to understand the weather conditions around you.

- Each split screen can be used as a shortcut or favorite, allowing you to easily access the weather information you want to know.

You can also quickly display the entire screen by pressing the "Expand" button in the upper right corner of each screen.

- Radar nowcasts and AMeDAS are available in national and regional expanded versions, allowing you to quickly and easily understand the weather situation by comparing the national situation with detailed regional information.

- The Meteorological Agency website supports the site's standard animations.

- Acquires the name of your current prefecture/City/town and allows you to easily access information about your region, such as disaster prevention information, weather forecasts, and weekly weather forecasts for your town.

- By setting your favorite region, you can quickly refer to weather information for other regions.

--- Getting Started ---

First, set the default region. Select three stages: prefecture → city/town → town/village. You can change this setting later from the settings. Once set, it will be displayed as the default location from the next time. The 6-screen state will be displayed immediately from the next time.

--- notes on Use ---

Browsing may become impossible due to URL changes or other reasons on the Meteorological Agency, various electric power companies, XRAIN site, and Tokyo Amesh site.

Please use it in a Wifi or 3G/4G/5G network environment.

--- If it does not load due to an error ---

- Please check if you are connected to the internet.

- Please check if the date and time are set to the current time.

--- If it still does not load due to an error after checking the above ---

- Please close the app once. Press the back button on the main screen, and when the dialog appears, close the app. Then restart the app.

- (If that still doesn't work) Turn the power off and then on again on your device (smartphone) to restart the device.

- The server may be down. Please try accessing it again after a while.

Finally,

Uninstall the app and reinstall it. If you want to initialize the screen division settings and reset them, you can also initialize them by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

--- Changing the Number of Split Screens ---

You can change from 6-split or 4-split screens to 4-split, 2-split, or no-split screens.

Shake your smartphone (shake it vertically several times) to change the number of splits.

If the number of splits suddenly changes while you are using it normally, it is because you shook the device.

Shake it several more times to return it to the original state (it will cycle around).

To disable this function, start Convenient Weather Around You and go to Settings > Change Number of Splits by Shake and turn it off.

You can also change the number of splits from the settings.
