Cultură generală is a comprehensive general knowledge quiz game suitable for all ages, featuring multiple-choice questions with four answer options each.

It can also be used as preparation for the Baccalaureate exam, with question sets based on high School textbooks. Currently, it includes materials from: Romanian History (12th grade), Philosophy (12th grade), Economics (11th grade), and Psychology (10th grade), each adapted into approximately one thousand questions.

The game boasts a database of over 10,000 questions from diverse fields such as: literature, film, art, mythology, music, psychology, sports, history, chemistry, politics, biology, vocabulary, linguistics and grammar, English, antiquity, crossword puzzle definitions, information technology / computer science, the bible / religion, anatomy, zoology, capitals, massage, and more.

Approximately 90% of the questions have been written specifically for this game by contributors and are unique to this platform.

Each quiz consists of 21 questions with 4 possible answers.
The 21 questions are distributed across 3 levels, with 7 questions per level.

Players have access to "50/50" (jumi juma) option, can "ask the audience" (întreaba mulțimea), or "ask someone" (cere părerea cuiva) for help; and can also skip a question starting from the second level.

There are also 3 bonus chances - the quiz doesn't end after 3 incorrect answers, but incurs a point penalty depending on the difficulty level.

The scoring system takes into account time, difficulty level, and the number of question sets chosen.
Bonus points are awarded for completing a level or winning the game.

The best results can be submitted from the Statistics section to participate in an online leaderboard.

The Personal Statistics section displays various information, including: total points earned, average points per quiz, average time per quiz, best results, recent results, the position of the best result in the online ranking, etc.

Many options are available, such as: background music, sound effects, and voice announcements for certain events (all of which can be enabled/disabled in the Settings section).
Questions, answer options, and/or other information can be read aloud by a device voice; players can select what to be announced in the game settings.

The game is also available for Android TV devices.
It is also accessible in a web version at www.culturagenerala.ro or in an iOS version for iPhone or iPad in the App Store.
Fully accessible with screen readers like Talkback or Jieshuo Plus.

In the web version of the game, users can contribute by creating question sets.
To some extent, this game resembles the popular "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" game show.
