Gameplay involves rolling the dice and moving your token forward the corresponding number of spaces. After your move, the turn passes to the next player, unless you encounter one of the following special squares:
* **Goose Squares:** Land on a goose square, and you get to advance to the next goose square and roll the dice again for another move!
* **The Bridge:** Landing on the bridge automatically transports you to the other bridge, propelling you further along the track.
* **The Well or the Prison:** Misfortune strikes! Landing on the well or prison means you must skip your next two turns.
* **The Dead/Black Square:** A truly unlucky spot! Landing on the dead or black square forces you to return to the starting square (square 1) and begin your journey anew!
To claim victory, you must land on the final square with an exact dice roll. If your roll exceeds the required number, you move into the final square and then bounce back out, counting each excess point as a step backward. If you encounter any special squares during this backward movement, you must follow their usual instructions.
