Take on the role of a leader from one of five powerful factions – Saxony Empire, Crimean Khanate, Rusviet Union, Polania Republic, or Nordic Kingdom – and strive to become the dominant force in Europa during these turbulent times!

To secure your people's future, you must explore uncharted territories, recruit new allies, and strategically deploy your forces by constructing formidable combat Mechs. Rewrite history in this fictional past, where mechanical marvels and cutting-edge technology shape every decision. Choose your battles wisely, for in Scythe, victory hinges on the strength and prosperity of your people.

Gameplay:
• Asymmetry: Each player begins with unique resources (energy, coins, combat prowess, popularity, etc.), a distinct starting location, and a secret objective. These carefully designed starting positions amplify the uniqueness of each faction and the game's asymmetrical nature.
• Strategy: Scythe empowers players with near-total control over their destiny. The only elements of chance are the Encounter cards, Drawn to interact with the inhabitants of newly discovered lands, and each player's individual secret objective. Combat is strategically driven, eliminating luck or chance.
• Engine Building: Enhance your construction capabilities to maximize efficiency, erect structures to solidify your map presence, enlist fresh recruits, activate Mechs to deter invaders, and expand your borders to unlock greater resource yields. This fosters a sense of progression and momentum throughout the game. The sequence in which players develop their economies and technologies contributes to the unique character of each playthrough, even when playing as the same faction repeatedly.
