The Army Leader's Book (LB) is a comprehensive mobile application designed to assist army leaders in efficiently managing and tracking critical, non-sensitive information about their soldiers. This tool enhances leadership capabilities and ensures unit readiness by providing a centralized platform for essential data.

LB allows leaders to monitor soldiers' APFT scores, Weapons qualifications, body composition metrics, training statuses, and MedPros (Medical Protection System) readiness dates. It also streamlines administrative tasks by tracking absences and automatically calculating the daily PERSTAT (Personnel Status Report).

- PERSTAT: Track leave, TDY (Temporary Duty), and other absences, providing real-time personnel status updates.
- Appointments: Manage and schedule appointments for soldiers.

Security is paramount. LB utilizes Google's Firestore, a secure cloud database service, to store data. Firestore employs robust encryption methods both in transit and at rest. Additional security rules are implemented within LB to ensure that only authorized users can access their data. It is crucial to obtain consent from soldiers (and have them sign a Privacy Act Statement) before inputting their information into LB, and to only include information they are comfortable sharing. The only mandatory fields are Rank and Last Name.
