ON-SCREEN INFORMATION

* Number of points. Displayed in the upper right corner. Indicates the number of points for the current word.
* Percentage. Indicates the degree of learning of words in the dictionary.

HOW IT WORKS

The program offers you a word and a sentence with this word in Russian. You need to answer how this word in the current context should be translated into English.

If you answer correctly, the program will praise you. If you make a mistake, it will suggest the correct answer and show the word card.

In any case, you will be shown the English version of the sentence.

You get points for correct answers, and points are deducted for incorrect answers.

Different forms of words are learned and taken into account in the statistics independently. For example, for the words I and me, see and saw, the calculation is carried out separately.

You can view the word card by selecting the appropriate menu item.

The process of learning words begins with the fact that the program selects 15 words from its dictionary and begins to show them in random order.

After a word moves to the "repeatable" group, the next word is retrieved from the dictionary.

Repetition is performed after 1, 2 and 3 days. The time when the repetition will be shown is always calculated from the time of the previous answer.

If you answer all repetitions correctly, the word moves to the "learned" group and will no longer be offered.

If you looked at the word card from the repetition group, then you go back one step.

For example, if you are offered a word after 2 days and you looked at the word card, then this word will be offered again the next day.

DICTIONARY

Currently, the program's dictionary contains over 1500 of the most used English words, as well as words used in the "Polyglot" program.

Irregular verbs are presented in the first and second forms. The calculation of points for each form is independent. The words in the dictionary are arranged in the order of study.

VOICE

System settings are used for voice acting. In the device settings, you need to select an engine for speech synthesis. Try listening to the example.
If the example is not played, then you need to install voice data and the language of playback.
