Callbreak is a highly engaging and popular card game, especially beloved by card game enthusiasts. Unlike many complex card games, Callbreak stands out for its simple rules and ease of gameplay. It is particularly widespread and cherished in South Asian countries like Nepal and India.

Callbreak, sometimes referred to as 'call brake,' is a strategic trick-taking game played with a standard 52-card deck. Four players participate, each receiving 13 cards.

Basic Rules:

A complete Callbreak game consists of five rounds. Each round includes 13 tricks. Players must play a card of the same suit if possible. Spades are the default trump suit in Callbreak. Before each round, players make a 'call' or bid, predicting the number of tricks they can win. The primary objective is to win at least as many tricks as bid. The player with the most points after five rounds wins.

How to Play:

At the start, all four players are dealt 13 cards each. If a player doesn't have a single spade, the cards are reshuffled. Players then assess their hands and make a bid, estimating the number of tricks they can secure. To win a trick, a player must play a higher card of the same suit as the lead card. If unable to follow suit, a player can play a trump card (spade). The highest trump card wins the trick. If no trumps are played, the highest card of the lead suit wins. At the end of each round, points are calculated. Successfully making your bid earns you that many points. Failing to win the bid results in negative points equal to the bid amount. Any extra tricks won beyond the bid do not contribute to the score. After five rounds, the player with the highest cumulative score is declared the winner.
