Phỏm, also known as Tá lả or ù 9 lá, is a very popular card game in Vietnam.

The gameplay is similar to other card games, but it features some unique rules that make it very engaging for players.

# How to play Phỏm Tá lả:

- The game uses a standard deck of 52 cards (without the 2 Joker cards).

- In the first round, you receive 10 cards, while the other players receive 9 cards each. The remaining cards are placed in the middle of the table, forming the 'Nọc' (stockpile).

- The first player (with 10 cards) plays one card from their hand. The next player can 'eat' (ăn) that card if it can form a 'Phỏm' (meld) with their hand.

- If the next player cannot or does not want to eat the card, they must Draw one card from the Nọc in the middle of the table.

- Then, that player discards one card from their hand. The third player can then eat (if possible) or draw a card from the Nọc if they cannot eat, and then discard a card to the fourth player, and so on until the game ends.

- The game ends when a player declares 'Ù' (goes out).

- If no one goes out, the game ends after 4 rounds of play. Before discarding a card in the 4th round, players must reveal all their Phỏm to everyone.
