Egyptian Basra, also known as "Al Kommy", "Ashara Koutshinah", and "Ash Al Walad" in Egypt, is a classic card game suitable for players of all ages. This version is designed to be lightweight, ensuring smooth performance on both older and newer mobile devices.Enjoy the game with a Multiplayer feature that uses an internet connection through dedicated servers, allowing you to connect and play with friends. You can create public rooms to play with other players or set up private rooms and share the room name with your friend to join for a private match.
The game rules are simple:
1- At the start of each round, one player deals four cards to each player, and places four cards face-up on the table.
2- Each player then takes turns playing one card from their hand onto the table until they run out of cards. The dealer then deals four more cards to each player (but not to the table).
3- The goal is to collect as many cards from the table as possible. After the dealer runs out of cards, the number of cards each player collected is counted. The player with the most cards scores 30 points; the other player scores zero.
4- A player can capture cards from the table by playing a card that matches the rank of a card on the table, or by playing a card whose rank equals the sum of the ranks of a group of cards on the table. (Jacks, Queens, and Kings are not included in the sum).
- For example, if the table contains an Ace (value 1), a 7, a King, and an 8, and you have an 8 in your hand, you can capture the 8, the Ace, and the 7 (since 1 + 7 = 8). If you have a 9, you can capture the 8 and the 1. If you have a King, you can only capture the King from the table.
5- Playing a Jack or the Diamond 7 allows you to capture all the cards on the table.
6- If the table is empty and the next player plays a card (avoiding Jacks or Diamond 7), and the other player has a card of the same rank in their hand, they capture the played card as a "Basra".
7- Another way to score a "Basra" is when the values of all the cards on the table add up to the value of a card in your hand, and you have a card of that value in your hand. For example, if the table contains (10, 5, 4, 1) and you have a 10, or (8, 7, 1) and you have an 8, etc.
8- If you have the Diamond 7 in the above situation, you also take the cards on the table as a "Basra". The Diamond 7 is a special card with two roles, called "Al Komi", it can take a Basra of any value or take all the cards on the table like a Jack.
9- Be careful not to hold a Jack or Diamond 7 as your last card, as your opponent may capture it as a "Basra" the next time they play.
10- When the dealer runs out of cards, the player with the most cards scores 30 points. The number of "Basra" taken by each player is also counted, with each Basra worth 10 points, and a Jack Basra worth 30 points. A Komi Basra (when the Komi is burned and takes Basra by any card) is also worth 30 points.
11- Several rounds continue, with players alternating the role of dealer, until one player reaches the target score and is declared the winner.
