★ Cruce, also known as "Cross," is a captivating card game originating from Transylvania (north-western Romania). While popular in Romania, similar versions are enjoyed in countries like Germany (particularly in regions where the game originated), Hungary, Austria, and Slovenia, often under the name "66" or "sixty-six," though with variations in the rules.

★ This app brings the traditional card game "Cruce" to your fingertips, allowing for 2-player gameplay against the computer. Using Hungarian cards, the deck is streamlined by removing the "Seven" and "Eight" cards, resulting in a total of 24 cards. You can challenge three distinct computer opponents, each with their own difficulty level. The objective is to be the first player to reach 15 points. In the event of a tie, the game continues until one player surpasses the other in points.

The game features four card suits: HEART, LEAF, ACORNS, and BELLS. Each suit contains six cards with different values.

★ At the start of each game, the deck is shuffled and distributed among the players. Each player receives 8 cards, with the remaining 8 cards set aside. Players then evaluate their hands to determine their bid in the auction phase. The active player must bid between 1 and 4. If a player believes their hand isn't worth bidding on, they can "PASS," allowing the opponent to bid. If a player bids between 1 and 4, the opponent can make a higher bid to win the auction. The maximum bid is 4. The player who wins the auction leads the first card, establishing the "tromf" (master) suit for that round. The tromf suit is the most powerful and can beat any card from other suits. If the same tromf cards are played, the card with the highest value wins the trick. Once all cards have been played, each player calculates their points based on collected cards and any announcements made during the game. The total sum of points is divided by 33 to determine the final score. If the player who won the auction scores fewer points than their bid, they lose those points. Each accumulated point is added to the player's overall score.

★ A crucial aspect of Cruce is the auction phase, where players assess their cards and bid between 1 and 4, or choose to "PASS." Bids represent the number of points the player anticipates scoring, calculated by multiplying the bid value by 33. The player who wins the auction must achieve at least this many points by the end of the game; otherwise, they lose the bid value in points. Winning the auction allows the player to lead the first card and determine the Tromf (master) suit.
