Site Editorial Commentary：Conquian Classic is a 2 player, easy and fun to play Rummy Card Game.

Conquian, recognized as the earliest known Rummy variant in the Western world, offers a captivating card game experience. This version is played using a 40-card deck, making it a unique challenge for two players.

The deck includes cards A-2-3-4-5-6-7-J-Q-K across the standard suits: hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades.

Objective and Melding:

The primary goal is to be the first player to "go out" by melding a total of 11 cards. Melding involves creating valid combinations of cards and placing them face up on the table. These face-up cards constitute your meld. The allowed combinations are:

* Groups: Sets of three or four cards of the same rank (e.g., 7 of Hearts, 7 of Clubs, and 7 of Spades).
* Sequences (Straights): runs of three to eight cards of the same suit in consecutive order (e.g., 4 of Clubs, 5 of Clubs, and 6 of Clubs).

Important rules to note:

* The Ace (A) is always considered low, and the 7 is adjacent to the Jack. Therefore, A-2-3 and 6-7-J are valid sequences, but Q-K-A is not.

* At all times, your meld on the table must consist of one or more separate, valid combinations. A single card cannot be part of multiple combinations simultaneously.

* Sequences cannot exceed eight cards in length. This limit is in place because you must meld exactly eleven cards to win. To achieve this, you need at least two combinations, and if one has the minimum size of three cards, the other cannot have more than eight.

End of the Game:

The game proceeds until one player successfully goes out or the stock of cards is exhausted.

You go out by melding the face-up card from the center of the table (whether discarded/rejected by your opponent or newly turned up by you) along with all the remaining cards in your hand (if any). Once you meld eleven cards, you win, and your opponent pays you a predetermined stake.

If the stock of cards runs out and you cannot use the card discarded or rejected by your opponent, you cannot turn up a new card. In this situation, the game results in a Draw, and some players may choose to play the next game for a doubled stake.

Note that melding ten cards and discarding your last card does not equate to winning or ending the game. You must continue playing until you acquire an eleventh card that can be added to your meld. This eleventh card must come from either being discarded/passed to you by your opponent or turned up by you after rejecting the card from your opponent.
