In Call Break, once players have completed their calls, the player next to the dealer initiates the first move. Players can lead with any card, and subsequent players must follow suit with a higher-ranking card of the same suit. If unable to follow suit, they must 'trump' by playing a spade of any rank. If a player doesn't possess a spade, they can discard any card.
The highest card of the led suit captures the hand. However, if the led suit is trumped by a spade, the highest-ranking spade secures the hand.
The player who wins the hand then leads the next hand, continuing the round until all 13 cards have been played. The next round commences thereafter.
The game continues for a total of five rounds. At the conclusion of the fifth round, the player with the highest cumulative score is declared the winner of 'Call Break'.
