The core functionality for timetable inquiries and ticket purchases for travel throughout Switzerland remains consistent between SBB Preview and SBB Mobile. SBB Preview is visually distinguished by its grey color scheme.

The app's central element is the new bottom navigation bar, offering easy access to the following sections:

Plan:
• Effortlessly plan your journeys with a user-friendly timetable interface. Utilize the touch timetable or automatically set your current location as the origin or destination using the map.
• Purchase tickets for any destination in Switzerland with just a few taps. Your SwissPass travelcards are automatically applied for eligible discounts.
• Discover cost-effective travel options with supersaver tickets and Saver Day Passes.

Trips:
• Journeys associated with ticket purchases are automatically saved in the 'Trips' section for easy access.
• Manually save journey plans from the timetable, even if you don't purchase a ticket immediately.
• Receive real-time travel assistance, including notifications about delays, disruptions, and interchange times, ensuring a smooth door-to-door experience.

EasyRide:
• Enjoy seamless travel across the entire GA Travelcard network with automatic check-in and fare calculation.
• EasyRide accurately calculates the correct fare based on your traveled routes and charges you accordingly.

Tickets and travelcards:
• Digitally display your public transport travelcards using SwissPass Mobile integration.
• View a comprehensive overview of your valid and expired tickets and travelcards stored on your SwissPass.

To identify your nearest stop for connections originating from your current location, SBB Preview requires access to your device's gps function. This is also used to display nearby stops on the timetable.

calendar and e-mail:
You can save journey plans to your calendar and share them via e-mail. SBB Preview requires read and write permissions to integrate your desired connections into your calendar.

Access to the camera:
SBB Preview requests camera access to enable you to take photos directly within the app for personalizing the touch timetable. Permission will be explicitly requested.

Internet access:
Internet access is essential for SBB Preview to retrieve timetable information and facilitate ticket purchases.

Memory:
To support Offline functionality, such as storing lists of stops, connection history, and ticket purchase data, SBB Preview requires access to your device's memory to save app-specific settings.
