DubScript is a robust, open-standard screenplay editor designed for film, TV, and online scripted projects, offering industry-strength features right at your fingertips.

Seamlessly read Final Draft (.fdx) or Fountain script formats and edit directly in plain text. Then, effortlessly output your auto-formatted screenplay to print, PDF, and .fdx. You can also edit plain text Markdown markup files (ending in .md).

Create new scripts and write naturally in the free-flowing plain-text editor – without the distraction of complex formatting requirements. Forget manually formatting or indenting characters, slug lines, parentheticals, or actions. Write uninterrupted; simply start scenes with INT. or EXT, capitalize CHARACTER names, and double-space between dialogue.

In other words, make your screenplay look "screenplayish". The editor (with 900+ fonts available) assists with intelligent auto-suggestions as you write.

Save directly to your device's storage – no online connection needed. Alternatively, save to Google Drive and other cloud services for easy access and backup.

Finished writing? With a single swipe, DubScript handles the tedious formatting for you! Indentation, page breaks, CONT'Ds, page numbering, margins, and text styling appear almost instantly!

You now have a properly formatted screenplay. Before outputting a PDF or exporting to .fdx, easily add a title page. It's also simple to add scene numbers, side-by-side dialogue, centered text, notes, and custom page breaks.

DubScript supports Fountain markup, a popular and open standard for writing scripts in plain text. This ensures your screenplay file is fully compatible with any plain-text editor. Exchange files with other apps via simple copy and paste, or use the Share button to forward a backup to yourself (or your agent) via email or messaging app.
