Lettres7 Duplicate is a captivating word game where players aim to score the most points with each move, challenging the program which always knows the highest-scoring solution. This duplicate variant of the famous word game provides a unique twist on the classic Scrabble experience.

The game pits you against an AI opponent that strategically places the optimal word on the board for each subsequent turn. The dictionary and game rules are aligned with ODS9 (Officiel Du Scrabble 9, effective as of January 1, 2024), ensuring an up-to-date and authoritative word list.

Lettres7 Duplicate offers 500 pre-memorized games, including 50 with a "joker" tile (numbers 451 to 500, see help section for rules). You can also opt for a "free" game, with random tile Draws each turn, simulating a "drawn from the bag" experience. From version V4.0 onwards, ORIGINAL 7 out of 8, 7 and 8, joker, 7 out of 8 joker and 7 and 8 joker games are available. These are also "free games".

The application automatically calculates scores and validates word existence against the dictionary.

The dictionary includes words from ODS8 (nearly all of them).

On phones and smaller tablets, the game board is zoomed in and scrollable for enhanced visibility and ease of play.

Choose a specific game number using the (+-1 and +-10) buttons, or select a "FREE" game for a unique and unpredictable experience. Start the game with the "Commencer partie" or "Partie libre" button, choosing between simple or original game modes.

Move tiles on the board effortlessly with your finger.

The "Préparer" button allows you to verify the placed word, calculate points, and register it for validation if the score exceeds the previous prepared score. (Alternatively, you can manually enter the word and position instead of dragging tiles.) The "Valider" button then proposes the word for placement.

The program then places the "top" (highest-scoring) word on the grid and displays the next set of tiles. It also shows the top and sub-top scoring options for that turn.

The menu provides helpful resources, including lists of 2 and 3-letter words, as well as words with high-value letters. The letters currently in your rack are highlighted in the help section. An integrated "anagrammeur" helps you discover all possible words using your current tiles.

The "score" tab lets you review the points earned for each turn, including the top and sub-top scoring options. The "reliquat" tab displays the remaining tiles and the history of played memorized games.

You can set a TIME LIMIT for each turn: unlimited, 5 minutes, 3 minutes, 2 minutes, 90 seconds, or 60 seconds.

An option is available to reveal the TOP SCORE achievable for each turn.

Games IN PROGRESS can be saved and resumed later.

With an automatic SAVE after each turn, you can recover your game in case of unexpected crashes (sorry, it still happens sometimes).
