HOW TO PLAY:

■ Court Piece is a four-player game played using a standard 52-card deck.
■ Card ranking, from high to low, is A-K-Q-J-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2.
■ The trump selector receives five cards initially and chooses the trump suit. After the trump is declared, the remaining cards are distributed in batches of 5, 4, and 4 to each player.
■ Each player starts with 13 cards. The trump selector leads the first trick of the first round.

HOW TO WIN:

Players must follow suit if possible. The highest trump card, or the highest card of the suit led, wins the trick. The winner of each trick leads the next one. The team that captures seven or more tricks wins the game.
