Service Menu Explorer for LG TV Lite grants users access to hidden service menus on LG TVs. It's a useful tool for advanced users to tweak settings, but proceed with caution! This lite version may have limited functionality compared to the full version.
Umfassende Analyse
Service Menu Explorer for LG TV Lite allows users to delve into the service menus of their LG TVs. This provides access to a range of settings not normally available. While it can be valuable for calibration or troubleshooting, users should exercise extreme caution, as incorrect modifications can negatively impact the TV's performance or even cause damage. The 'Lite' designation suggests that some features are locked behind a paywall, so expect limited functionality compared to the full, paid version. *** COMPATIBILITY ***
Please refer to the end of this description for a list of compatible Android devices.
Tired of buying new remote conTrollers? Why invest in a Logitech Harmony Remote when your Android phone can do so much more at a fraction of the cost, and with the convenience of portability?
This application (the first and only one that works via network connection and infrared) offers a straightforward way to unlock the two secret service menus on your LG TVs. This grants you access to extra functionalities like DIVX and DVR support, and much more! Beyond accessing hidden features, the app functions as a fully capable remote controller, allowing you to utilize DVR functionality directly from your smartphone. It supports a wide range of TV models, from older to newer ones. Note that only 2011 models support network connection; other models require infrared (IR) functionality. Supported IR methods include phones with built-in infrared transmitters or infrared dongles like IRDroid V1.0 (an open-source project available at www.irdorid.com) connected to the headphone jack. This application has been tested with the 42LW650G model and some 2013/2014 models.
This is an unofficial LG application. It allows you to access and modify parameters and features (THX, THX cinema, DVR, DIVX, USB, language, etc.) on LG televisions equipped with WIFI or Ethernet connection by accessing the two secret Service Menus (1 and 2). Please be aware that modifying parameters and functions within the secret menus carries inherent risks. Incorrect modifications can damage or cause malfunction to your TV, potentially voiding your warranty. Some devices might lack certain software features. Users assume full responsibility for any actions performed using this application and acknowledge the associated risks. The developers and company disclaim all liability for damages caused to persons or property resulting from the use of this software.

- SONY: Not compatible. This is not an app limitation but a SONY issue, as SONY does not comply with Google directives.
For all other devices with KITKAT or newer and equipped with infrared, functionality is expected but not guaranteed.
For devices lacking a compatible IR transmitter, we recommend using an external IR dongle connected to the headphone jack. IRDroid V1 is fully tested and supported.
