RIA DigiDoc is a versatile application designed to facilitate secure digital document management directly from your mobile device. It empowers you to digitally sign documents, verify the authentiCity of digital signatures, and securely encrypt, open, save, and share files. This is achieved using an Estonian ID card, NFC (Near Field Communication), Mobile-ID, and Smart-ID.Notably, the encryption and decryption features within RIA DigiDoc are specifically designed to work with an Estonian ID card and a compatible card reader, ensuring a high level of security and compliance with Estonian digital identity standards.
The application supports digitally signed containers, which are files with the extensions .bdoc, .ddoc, or .asice, commonly used for digitally signed documents in Estonia and other regions adopting similar standards.
Beyond document signing, RIA DigiDoc enables you to check the validity of your ID-card certificate and change your PIN and PUK codes directly through the app. The "My eID" section conveniently displays the ID-card owner's data and ID-card validity information. For security reasons, this information is only visible when the ID-card is physically inserted into the card reader.
