Swachhata-MoHUA is the official mobile application of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India, designed to empower citizens to actively participate in improving urban cleanliness and sanitation.This app enables users to report civic-related issues, such as garbage dumps, directly to the relevant City corporation. The reported issue is then promptly forwarded to the sanitary inspector responsible for the specific ward.
The app was redeveloped by CMS Computers to enhance user experience and efficiency.
How it works:
Using your smartphone, simply capture a photo of the civic issue and categorize it under one of the following:
* Garbage dump
* Garbage vehicle not arrived
* Dustbins not cleaned
* Sweeping not done
* Dead Animals
* Public toilet(s) cleaning
* Public toilet(s) blockage
* No water supply in public toilet(s)
* No electricity in public toilet(s)
The app automatically captures the location when the picture is taken. You can also manually add the landmark of the complaint location. The complaint is then assigned to the appropriate sanitary inspector or engineer for resolution.
Users can also support existing complaints by voting them up, increasing their visibility. The app provides regular updates on the complaint status via push notifications, including a 'Resolved' image uploaded by the assigned sanitary inspector or engineer.
If you are not satisfied with the resolution, you have the option to reopen the complaint for further action.
New Features:
1. Edit or Delete Complaints: Users can now edit or delete their posted complaints. Additionally, complaints can be submitted by uploading photos from the phone's Photo Gallery and specifying the complaint location within the Swachhata App.
2. Engineer Login: A dedicated login feature is now available for engineers to efficiently manage and address complaints.
