FAQ/Tips:
How do I use the widget?
Event Flow is a widget, and needs to be placed on your home screen from your widget list. This process may vary depending on your Android version and device model, but typically involves long-pressing an empty space on your home screen, selecting "Widgets," and dragging Event Flow to your desired location.
The widget is not updating.
This is often due to battery saving settings on your device that prevent the widget from refreshing. Event Flow needs to update daily and before/after events. Check your device's app and battery settings to ensure they aren't interfering. More info can be found here: https://dontkillmyapp.com/
Why aren't reminders available?
Google has not yet opened up reminder access to third-party apps. We are actively monitoring for any changes.
My Outlook/Exchange calendar isn't showing up.
If using the Outlook Android app, ensure that "Sync calendars" is enabled within the app's settings for the relevant account. If this doesn't work, try adding your Outlook/Exchange account in your device's Settings -> Accounts and accessing those calendars through Google's Calendar app. This should make them available to the widget.
My Birthdays/Contacts/Other calendar is not showing up or is not being synchronized.
The widget reads the local calendar database maintained by Android and your Calendar App. Synchronization issues can occur; a refresh can help. Go to your device's Settings -> Accounts -> Select your account -> Account sync and refresh "Calendar" and "Contacts". Then, open Google's Calendar app, go to the side menu, and deselect/select the affected calendars.
How do I set up the widget to look like in the screenshots?
Most screenshots showcase both widgets simultaneously: the Calendar Widget resized to a single row at the top, and the Agenda Widget without the header (configured in agenda settings) at the bottom. Customize the colors to your preference.
I would like to select an exact color for one of the options.
In the color picker, tap the center circle displaying the color to enter the Hexadecimal code for your desired color (including the alpha component: 0x00 for transparent, 0xFF for solid). You can also copy/paste this code between items.
Permissions:
We believe in transparency. Here's why we need each permission:
Calendar: Mandatory to read your calendar events. The widget cannot function without this permission.
Location: Optional, for displaying the weather forecast for your location. You can choose not to grant this permission and either disable weather forecasts or manually select a location.
