MAME4droid (0.139u1) is a port of the MAME 0.139 emulator, developed by David Valdeita (Seleuco), based on Nicola Salmoria and the MAME team's work. This emulator allows you to enjoy a vast library of arcade games, supporting over 8000 different ROMs compatible with the 0.139 MAME version.

* MAME4droid is an EMULATOR and DOES NOT INCLUDE ROMS OR ANY COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL. You must supply your own ROM files.

This particular version of MAME4droid is optimized for dual-core Android devices, aligning with the PC MAME version's higher hardware demands. While it's designed for performance, remember that demanding arcade games from the 90s and later might not run at full speed, even on high-end devices. Games like Outrun and the Mortal Kombat series, known for their optimization challenges, may require at least a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.

With support for over 8000 games, performance will vary. Some titles will run flawlessly, while others may struggle or not function at all. Given the extensive library, individual game support requests cannot be accommodated. Please understand that comprehensive compatibility across all titles is impossible.

To get started, simply place your MAME-titled zipped ROM files into the /sdcard/MAME4droid/roms folder after installation.

This MAME4droid version is specifically designed to use the '0.139' ROMset. Using other ROMset versions may cause issues.
