Shattered Pixel Dungeon is a challenging traditional roguelike dungeon crawler RPG that is easy to pick up but difficult to master! Each playthrough offers a unique experience, featuring six distinct heroes, randomly generated levels and enemies, and a vast collection of hundreds of items to discover and utilize. ShatteredPD receives regular updates approximately every three months, ensuring there is always fresh content to explore.

Choose Your Hero
Each of ShatteredPD's six playable heroes presents unique mechanics and gameplay styles. Engage in melee combat as the resilient Warrior or the deadly Duelist, incinerate foes as the arcane Mage or the divine Cleric, or exploit the environment to your advantage as the stealthy Rogue or the sharpshooting Huntress!

As you delve deeper into the dungeon, you'll earn points to invest in talents, select a subclass, and unlock potent late-game abilities. Transform the Duelist into a dual-wielding Champion, the Cleric into a righteous Paladin, the Huntress into a precise Sniper, or explore a wealth of other possibilities!

Explore the Dungeon
ShatteredPD's dungeon is procedurally generated, featuring random layouts, room types, items, traps, and enemies. In each game, you'll discover equipment and gather or craft consumable items to enhance your abilities or provide assistance in tight situations. The variety of encounters and environments you'll experience from run to run and region to region is immense.

As you progress through the dungeon, you'll find equipment that can be enchanted, upgraded, and augmented to customize your hero. Ignite enemies with an enchanted weapon, bulldoze through adversaries with upgraded armor, or gain powerful damage, defensive, or utility bonuses from the numerous magical wands, rings, artifacts, or trinkets.

Succeed or Die Trying
The Dungeon is fraught with enemies, traps, hazards, and bosses determined to end your adventure! Battle hostile wildlife in the sewers and caves, deranged thieves and guards in the prison, occult servants in the fallen dwarven City, and potentially even more terrifying entities deeper within...

These dangers can make the game quite demanding, but don't give up! You likely won't succeed on your first attempt, but there are many strategies and tactics to uncover and master on your journey to your first victory. Afterward, optional challenges and achievements await if you wish to further test your abilities!

Shattered Pixel Dungeon is an open-source game based on the original Pixel Dungeon by Watabou (first released in late 2012). It originated in 2014 as a project to rebalance Pixel Dungeon but has gradually evolved into a unique game over the past 10 years!
