For experienced players, the upper levels (15-20) offer a significant challenge, testing your strategic thinking and tactical prowess. Beginners can benefit from playing at levels 1-10, improving their play stability, attention span, and focus.
Making a move is intuitive: simply touch a piece to highlight all available moves, then touch the desired destination to move the piece.
You can start a new game from the standard position by tapping Start, choosing a level, and selecting your color. Alternatively, you can set up a custom position and play from there.
To set Deep Chess to play for both sides, set up a position, tap Start, then tap BothSide, and choose a level. This allows you to analyze specific scenarios and learn from the AI's moves.
Enhance your skills by solving over 460 Chess puzzles. Unlock these puzzles using the Upgrade button. You can also unlock move hints (Hint) and the ability to undo moves (Undo) by using Upgrade->Activate and watching a Rewarded Ad. An Ad-free version of Deep Chess is available for purchase.
To analyze a game, input the moves for both sides, tap Reset, save the game, load it, and then use the Hint button.
Deep Chess supports PolyGlot (.bin) opening books. Load your own PolyGlot opening book from the Downloads or Documents folder in the SD card (for Android versions lower than 11). For Android 11 and higher, place the book in the Deep Chess app's directory (/data/user/0/org.deepchess.deepchess/files/). A built-in DeepChessBook.bin is enabled by default, which significantly speeds up gameplay at higher levels.
You can export your saved games as .PGN files to the SD Card's Downloads folder (for Android versions lower than 11). For Android 11 and higher, export to the Deep Chess app's directory using the ExportPGN function.
Earn achievements by winning games: 3 wins on the same level without undoing a move earns you a Bronze Star, 5 wins a Silver Star, and 7 wins a Gold Star.
