The description of Coptic Reader
Site Editorial Commentary:Coptic Reader, more than just a text reader.
Coptic Reader is a mobile application meticulously designed to provide comprehensive access to the liturgical texts, rites, psalmodies, hymns, melodies, services, and sacraments of the Coptic Orthodox Church. A detailed list of included content is provided below.Unlike a simple text reader, Coptic Reader dynamically constructs each document and service according to the specific rites of the current day or a selected feast, significantly reducing errors. It builds documents on the fly, incorporating all appropriate hymns, rites, and instructions, thus eliminating guesswork from the order of church services.
Coptic Reader supports document generation in a combination of English, Arabic, and Coptic, and offers both English and Arabic as the application interface languages. The application is highly customizable, allowing users to show or hide different liturgical roles (i.e., Priest, Deacon, and Congregation), inaudible prayers, rubrics/comments, and languages according to preference.
Users can select from various graphical themes and adjust the document text size for optimal readability. A presentation mode is included, enabling the projection of content in church settings for an enhanced communal experience. The application also allows control over which saint or archangel commemorations are displayed in doxologies, hymns, responses, and other prayers for the church's intercessors.
